What Can Banks Learn From Nobel Prize Winner, Muhammad Yunus?

I had the distinct pleasure of attending a screening of documentary “To Catch a Dollar” here in L.A. at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre last Thursday, March 31st. Not only did it provide a nice dose of inspiration, but it also got me thinking about what really matters….is it enough to “chase the $” (Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged) OR is that activity in and of itself a sure fire way to land us promptly on misery lane wishing we had listened to Jesus Christ instead? I’m not sure, but what I am sure about is that if you have the chance to view this docu in your city – do it.
Is microfinance the answer to rebuilding the dwindling American middle class? Is it possible to life people out of poverty one dollar at a time? I think, quite possibly, it is.
